Democrats Are The IT Department of Politics

For all that they’re a necessity, computer engineers are a pain in the ass. They’re the ones who make the tech for those of us who just need a button to push, who don’t want to know how it works, who don’t care why we need a hard password, who just want the thing to work like it’s supposed to.

But they should.

Ahhh... There’s that good 'ol THEY again.

Computer engineers hate designing for the inept.

They should know how to have a hard password.

They should know how to find things on the website.

They should know how to troubleshoot their own device.

Yes, Bart, and YOU should know how to run a company, sell a widget, do brain surgery. Give us the goddamn button we need to do our work and stop shaming us for not having your skillset.

We’re a team.

The Democratic Party is the same.

These young voters should see how we’re working for them.

They should understand how awful the Republicans are. (us v. them)

They should support the candidate.

No.

We’re a team.

You’re

Not

Fucking

Listening

To

Your

Teammates

We want healthcare. Because we don’t stay at one job our whole life anymore — and insurance shouldn’t be tied to where we work. Or, I dunno, the same fucking healthcare YOU get at your job.

We want a healthcare system that isn’t allowed to profit off our ailments; that doesn’t cut staff during a crisis; that seeks to cure the problem, not treat the symptom. (See: Japan)

We want an employment system that supports the least of us--the ones who are currently keeping our country RUNNING.

We want transparency — in all things — government: where are you spending the tax money we give you?

So, to the Democratic Party, stop giving us shitty fucking candidates we don’t want and won’t vote for and tell us we SHOULD.

Give us what we’re asking for. Accept that we’re all out here doing our jobs and we’re just as smart as you are, only in different ways — that’s how teams function. You aren’t smarter than we are just because we’ve asked you to build things while we’re working our jobs. You’re simply a part of a larger society.

If you would give us a button, we will fucking smash it.

What you’ve given us is a Tool.
